The JR Smith Learning Center of The First Tee

Our new learning center is scheduled to open in June 2014. The facility is one-of-a-kind in central New Jersey and will serve hundreds of youngsters a year. Parent-Child Tournament Results

The First Tee Northeast Regional Challenge

Four participants from The First Tee of Monmouth and Ocean Counties qualified to represent our chapter in the Northeast Regional Chapter Challenge in July. In golf and life skills competitions, our kids competed against participants from various chapters of The First Tee from Washington D.C., up through Maine. The First Tee of Raritan Valley hosted the exciting event at Galloping Hill Golf Course.

The First Tee of Monmouth and Ocean Counties Breaks Ground on New Learning Center

After three years of planning, we have broken ground on a junior size-three hole golf course and practice area at Ocean County Park in Lakewood on Land provided by the Ocean County Freeholders. The course will be open to youngsters to use as a place for positive and healthy activity and a refuge from the streets and negative influences.

The Barclays

As The Barclays returned to New Jersey this year, The First Tee of Monmouth and Ocean Counties took a bus trip to Jersey City to watch the practice round on August 20th. Nearly 50 participants and chaperones traveled up to Liberty National Golf Course for the day.

Trump Four for Four Raffle Winner Announced!

The winner of the Trump National Four for Four Raffle is Patrick McGuiness of Colts Neck, NJ. Congratulations to Patrick on winning foursomes at Trump National Golf Course at Bedminster, Colts Neck, Philadelphia and Westchester! The prize includes greens fees, and cart for your foursome at all four courses. The retail value of this prize is $7,000.

Through this successful fundraiser, The First Tee of Monmouth & Ocean Counties was able to over raise $16,000 for the chapter. Thank you to all that participated and whom continue to support the children in our communities!
